” Of what use is Astronomy to mankind unless it is interpreted in terms of our daily life and thought. Even well-known Astronomical authorities have a demitted that the manner in which the eastern nations had set forth to make elaborate and costly arrangements for continual observation of celestial phenomena was not Intended to advance the cause of astronomy but to gain results of great astrological value.
