I’m sure the Democrats won’t be able to take control over the White House this autumn at the election 2008. And that is why. At first, let’s have a look at the horoscopes of  candidates and try to analyze why they have come to fight for the presidential post.

Hillary Rodham Clinton

Saturn and Mars influences in the horoscope of Hillary Rodham Clinton. Mars in the horoscope of Hillary Rodham Clinton is a ruler of her 10 house which is responsible for the power, posts when in power, leadership! In the solar in her horoscope for 1992 – 1993 when she became the First Lady in the USA and in 2007-2008 when she announced herself as a candidate for the presidential post, her Mars was retrograde in Cancer and that occurs once in a 12-13-year period. She got married with the future USA president, Bill Clinton, in autumn 1975 when Mars also moved retrograde in Cancer since autumn 1975. In 1978 Mars was again retrograde and in Cancer and she got the status of the first lady of Arkansas after her husband’d become the Governor to this state.

The ruler of the 10 House, which is responsible for the power, is in Lion and joins Saturn and Pluto – two planets of Power. This is actually the key career influencing conjunction of the planets for her. The completion of Saturn cycle in her horoscope in 2007 lead her to the decision to start struggling for the position of the President. Pluto’s role as a Ruler of conjunction of Power planets in Lion is enormous.

During Saturn cycle in 1975- 1978 she not only married Bill Clinton, but became the first lady of Arkansas when her husband had got the post of the State’s Governor in 1978! New cycle of Saturn commenced in 2007 and her role in politics was talked over again, but this time she appeared as a candidate for the president position.

The lucky transit of Saturn and Jupiter through her 10 house made her the USA Senator.But her Senator career was possible due to lucky trigon of transiting Pluto to the conjunction of planets responsible for Power in Lion. At present Pluto is leaving this aspect moving to Capricorn. So to say the least she doesn’t stand a chance of building a president career. In fact, it’s not surprising that she together with her husband had left the White House in 2000 – 2001 – period of Saturn/Pluto opposition. October 2002 is considered the beginning of her presidential campaign when she announced her readiness to fight for the post of the president. Exactly during this period transit Jupiter joined planets of Power in Lion being at the same time trine Pluto transiting Sagittarius. In her announcement, she stated, “I’m in. And I’m in to win.”

John McCain’s come to power when his natal Saturn opposed Saturn transit! Such planets position Hitler had at the time of his accession to power in 1933. And Hillary Rodham Clinton herself became the Senator when transit Saturn and Jupiter opposed her natal Jupiter in Sagittarius. Such situation is hardly the rare case. Ronald Reagan has also won the post of the president when Saturn was in opposition to his natal Saturn. This is a negative aspect for the country on the whole, showing dissonance of overall growing processes in the country and society.

His way to the top of his career.

1983 – he was elected to the House of Representatives of the USA Congress!

1987 – he became the Senator.

1995 till 2008 – he is the Chairman of the American Indians and Commerce Committee.  

McCain established his presidential exploratory committee on November 15, 2006 then announced he was seeking the 2008 Presidential nomination from the Republican Party on the February 28, 2007, telecast of the Late Show With David Letterman.    McCain officially started his 2008 presidential campaign on April 25, 2007, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Should McCain win in 2008, he would be the oldest person to assume the Presidency in history at initial ascension to office, being 72 years old and surpassing Ronald Reagan, who was 69 years old at his inauguration following the 1980 election.

In February 2007 when Jupiter shifted to Sagittarius and completed his cycle in the horoscope, McCain  began his election campaign. As it’s understood in his horoscope Jupiter is of key influence in relation to his political career. It’s on this planet cycle he managed to reach new levels of his career as a politician. 1983, 1995, 2007 – Jupiter was in Sagittarius finishing its cycle in the horoscope of John McCain. In 1987, when he was The U.S. senator his natal Jupiter has very strong aspect – conjunction with transit Saturn, and was trine transit Jupiter in Aries. Such planets location is excellently assisting any rise!

Barack Obama. His official name is Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.! The matter of Mystery of the Name calls to know that leaders named Hussein represent a bad sign to the USA, in my opinion, after Saddam execution and USA invasion to Iraq that will not do good to America.

His conception time falls on early November 1960, the period of presidential election which was won by John Kennedy killed subsequently in Dallas! Another bad sign for America. It is not worth saying about his ethnical origin, probably, but there are true “black pages” in the history of America. So Afro-American president is not what America is looking for, I believe! Many USA citizens are unfriendly to Afro-Americans even nowadays, notwithstanding the Oprah Winfrey Show is one of the most popular talk show on TV. One should beware of the possibility of social split caused by ethnicity question.

He started his career in 1983. Obama graduated with a B.A. from Columbia in 1983, then worked at Business International Corporation and New York Public Interest Research Group before moving to Chicago in 1985 to take a job as a community organizer.

Next phase of his ascending was in 1996 when he was elected to the Senate of Illinois.

In February 2007, standing before the Old State Capitol building in Springfield, Illinois, Obama announced his candidacy for President of the United States in the 2008 U.S. presidential election.

At that, all three dates were determined by Jupiter transiting by Sagittarius and his shifting to Capricorn. That is, all major political and professional changes in his life were influenced by the planet of power – Jupiter! It was conditioned in his horoscope by the transit Jupiter that was trine natal Uranus, which the Ruler of the natal Jupiter – Ruler of Power! Exactly the time when transit Jupiter was in Sagittarius and was shifting to Capricorn, he was trine natal Uranus in Lion.

Jupiter cycle is of primary importance for him, even in the university he taught exactly during one Jupiter cycle since 1993 till 2004. Obama taught constitutional law part-time at the University of Chicago Law School from 1993 until his election to the U.S. Senate in 2004.

His position is undoubtedly strong, he takes part in the election 2008 on completion of Jupiter cycle in his horoscope, that promoting not only the rise of his rating but increasing his chance of becoming a president of the USA. More over it has trine with transit Saturn – another planet of Power. Thus its influence is intensified. It is important to note that these planets are in a very high harmony in his horoscope, they join on the edge of Capricorn and Aquarius. Therefore I believe the major candidates fight will arise precisely between John McCain –  Barack Obama.

Republicans

The Republican Party was created in 1854 in opposition to the Kansas-Nebraska Act that would have allowed the expansion of slavery into Kansas. The Republican activists denounced the act as proof of the power of the Slave Power—the powerful class of southern slaveholders who were conspiring to control the federal government and to spread slavery nationwide. The name “Republican” gained such favor in 1854 because “republicanism” was the paramount political value the new party meant to uphold. The party founders adopted the name “Republican” to indicate it was the carrier of “republican” beliefs about civic virtue, and opposition to aristocracy and corruption. The name had been in previous use by Jeffersonians, Jacksonians, and nationalists. Two small cities of the Yankee diaspora, Ripon, Wisconsin and Jackson, Michigan, claim the birthplace honors. Ripon held the first county convention on March 20, 1854. Jackson held the first statewide convention where delegates on July 6, 1854 declared their new party opposed to the expansion of slavery into new territories and selected a state-wide slate of candidates. So, sure to say that real horoscope is not later than   March 20  1854, when Ripon held the first county convention and Republicans already existed!

Creating a Jacksonian Party: 1824. The party’s elected presidents were Thomas Jefferson (1800 and 1804), James Madison (1808 and 1812), and James Monroe (1816 and 1820). The party soon dominated Congress and most state governments outside of New England. By 1820, the Federalists were no longer acting as a national party; there was little to hold the Democratic-Republican Party together. William H. Crawford in 1824 was the last nominee by the Congressional nominating caucus; but the majority of the party boycotted the caucus. Henry Clay finished fourth in the election that year, behind John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, and William Crawford. Their factions became separate parties after the election, of which the Jacksonians became the basis of the present Democratic Party; the National Republicans were absorbed into the Whig coalition which faded out before the American Civil War. Thus in 1824 a new party headed by Andrew Jackson, who is pictured at 20 U.S. dollar bill, was established. One can’t say definitely when the party was founded as there’s no exact date of its foundation known. Still it’s quite enough for the further analysis to be aware of the principal planets positions.

Whose horoscope is the coolest?

Surely, a candidate’s path to the presidential post will be much dependent upon the horoscope of the party, especially if there is an interaction of planets in his horoscope. However the main condition is an interaction between horoscopes of two leading parties that propose candidates to the post of the head of the country, as well as interaction of planets at the specific time moment! It’s the positions of the planets during and at the beginning of election campaign relative to horoscope of each party will determine election returns. As a rule, the horoscopes of candidates have quite a little influence and only rarely do they have great impact upon the election campaign outcome.

One should absolutely admit, that the horoscope of Republican party is much more powerful and that’s the historical fact. Since parties foundation time there were 12 democratic and 18 republican presidents. The republicans are also in the lead in the amount of years spent in the White House. Besides, the republican party exceeds in the duration of unbroken ruling of the country!

Certainly, one of the main influences in horoscope is the interaction between two planets of Power – Jupiter and Saturn. Almost everything depends on their position! Horoscope of the republican party has Jupiter in Capricon and Saturn in Taurus, and they are trine each other – this is the very strong positive aspect that intensifies the party influence and lies ground for future development. And quite the contrary, in the Democratic party horoscope Jupiter is in Cancer and Saturn is in Taurus, they don’t interact actively, and at the same time Jupiter in Cancer is of much lower political status than Jupiter in Capricorn in the horoscope of Republican party. For instance, the importance of these planets can be verified by an interesting historical fact. There was the split in the Republican party in 1872 and 1911, when transit Jupiter and Saturn opposed natal Jupiter in 1872 and Saturn in 1911. To say it in other way, these planets were weakened thus placing the political future in danger! It is the position of these planets on ecliptics that success of either party will depend upon. Still there are some factors exist that can by their power override the positive influence of these planets and decide not only party and its leader fates but determine the destiny of the whole country!

The Republicans were in control over he White house since Lincoln’s election in 1860 and until 1884 when democrats re-won election taking to the White House Grover Cleveland in 1884.

1860 – 1861 – it was a crucial year in the history of Republican Party. From the broad perspective it’s from there started their great political leadership in the USA. The event was brought about by the transit Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in Virgo, which also were trine natal Jupiter and Saturn! Such a strong position gave start to the development of a new party. Due to such lucky beginning the elections in 1864,1868, 1872, 1876, 1880 also resulted in victories of the republicans.

In 1884 transit Jupiter and Saturn moved opposing to the natal Jupiter in the republican party horoscope and that determined the republicans’ weak position in 1884 election. Quite the contrary, the status of Democrats were gaining momentum. In the party’s horoscope the natal Jupiter joined transit Jupiter, and later – Saturn. That is why the presidential election 1884 was won by the Democrats!

In 1888 – 1889 Benjamin Harrison has won in the election campaign and republicans came back to the White House. This was caused by the Jupiter transiting natal Jupiter in republican party horoscope. And vice versa, Jupiter opposed natal Jupiter in the horoscope of the Democratic party.

How did the Republicans manage to win in 2000? The answer is the conjunction of transit Jupiter and Saturn in Taurus in trine aspect to natal Jupiter in Capricorn in the Republican party horoscope and in the conjunction with natal Saturn in Taurus.

Party’s unfortunate transits

There are meaningful planet aspects in the charts of both parties, they influence cardinally party’s fate and determine either its domination in politics or its defeat!  So negative or positive aspects of these planets, when in transit, bring about respective results.

The Democrats’ downfall during the (Great) Depression in 1932. The U.S. presidential election of 1932 took place as the effects of the 1929 Stock Market Crash and the Great Depression were being felt intensely across the country. Across the world, governments felt the pressure for radical – even Socialist or Fascist – solutions to the economic crisis. President Hoover’s popularity was falling as voters felt he was unwilling or unable to do what was needed.

1932 is universally considered to be a realigning election. Roosevelt and the Democratic ticket won a sweeping victory over Hoover and the Republicans, extending their control over the U.S. House and gaining control of the U.S. Senate. Forty years of Republican hegemony came to an end, and sixty years of Democratic hegemony was introduced. The vote for Democratic Presidential Electors was nearly 8 million over that for Smith Electors in 1928, an increase of 52%. Hoover’s popular vote was reduced by 26% from his result in 1928. In addition, the vote for most minor parties rose dramatically: increases of 230% for the Socialist Party (Norman Thomas’s highest raw vote total of his campaigns); an increase of 112% for the Communist Party; an increase of 305% for the Prohibition Party; and an increase of 57% for the Socialist Labor Party. An adverse transit – tau-square of Saturn, Uranus and Pluto commenced since 1929 and lasted until 1933 in the Republican party horoscope.

This resulted in ending of republicans domination due to historically negative position of the planets: transit Saturn, Uranus, Pluto, when they formed tau-square. Why was it? Cause in the republican party Natal they locate in the same sign, namely in conjunction, thus becoming the major driving power for development process of the party itself. When these planets form negative aspects the party is not a success and vice versa!

This was the biggest blow the republicans got since the party’s foundation date.

Since 1896 till 1912 the democrats were off power, republicans wan elections four times. That was the result of negative aspects in the horoscope of democratic party.

Such event could happen because of the negative position of transit Neptune and Uranus opposing each other at that period! Why are exactly these planets to blame? The Democratic party has in its horoscope conjunction of Neptune and Uranus in Capricorn, but in opposition to Jupiter. This is a negative aspect that weakens their position. The conjunction of Neptune and Uranus in the natal chart – is a nucleus that forms development of the structure itself. When these planets start to resonate negatively in transit that results in significant changes in the party’s overall activity. During 1896-1912 transit Neptune and Uranus were in opposition . Why had the democrats lost 1952 presidential election and were unable to win in elections 1956? During the election in 1952  Neptune, Uranus and Jupiter formed one of the most adverse configuration – tau-square, and more over, they were locating in the same cross where the natal opposition of Neptune/Uranus conjunction to Jupiter was. In other words, these planets were in negative aspects to their own natal positions!

Impeachment against Andrew Johnson in 1868 and Richard Nixon in 1974! Two presidents were subjected to impeachment proceedings and lost their presidential posts by reason of negative positions of transit Pluto and Saturn. The aspect manifests itself quite actively.

Why had the democrats lost power and majority of places as in the Senate having lost presidential post in 1860-1861 as well? The reason was – the tau-square of key planets: Neptune, Uranus and Jupiter in transit.

Positive Impacts  

And vice versa, when these planets are in positive resonance then the party is doing well!

1947 -1949 – The conjunction of Pluto and Saturn in Lion strengthened the republicans position and the party took the majority of places in both chambers of the Parliament, in Senate and in the House of Representatives.

1980-1992 – the epoch of Reagan and Bush Senior. That was very important period in the development of policy of the Republican party. The United States presidential election of 1980 featured a contest between incumbent Democrat Jimmy Carter and his Republican opponent, Ronald Reagan, along with third party candidates, the independent John B. Anderson and Libertarian Ed Clark. Reagan, aided by the Iran hostage crisis and a worsening economy at home, won the election by a wide margin.

Through the 1970s, the United States underwent a wrenching period of low economic growth, high inflation and interest rates, and intermittent energy crises. Added to this was a sense of malaise that in both foreign and domestic affairs the nation was headed downward. By the beginning of the election season, the prolonged Iran hostage crisis had sharpened public perceptions of a national crisis.

Similar to how Herbert Hoover had been blamed for the Great Depression in 1932, Jimmy Carter was blamed for most of the nation’s woes, especially the Iran hostage crisis, in which the followers of the Ayatollah Khomeni publicly humiliated the US by burning American flags and chanting anti-American slogans, parading the captured American hostages in public, and burning effigies of President Carter. Many Americans saw Carter as an inept leader who had failed to solve the worsening economic problems at home, and had made the US look weak abroad. Carter, after defeating Ted Kennedy for the Democratic nomination, attacked Reagan as a dangerous right-wing radical. For his part, Reagan, the charismatic former Governor of California, repeatedly ridiculed Carter, and won a decisive victory; in the simultaneous Congressional elections, Republicans won control of the United States Senate for the first time in 28 years. This win marked the beginning of the “Reagan Revolution.” Reagan’s advent to power was associated with the positive aspect of transit Saturn with transiting Pluto and Uranus at that period. At first, Saturn was moving to and joined Pluto till 1985, and next, it was coming towards and was in conjunction with Uranus since 1985 till 1991. From 1992 when it moved to Aquarius and formed square aspect to Pluto, the democrats came to power in the White House!

Bill Clinton’s era has started since 1992 as the two planets – Uranus and Neptune – ended their cycles in Capricorn in the democratic party horoscope, and at the same time they had strong positive aspect – trigon with transit Jupiter from Virgo.

4 Presidential Terms Running

How have the Democrats managed to win four presidential terms for Franklin D. Roosevelt repeatedly? That was the result of prolonged trine of Uranus/Neptune transiting each other and their own position in Natal in Capricorn as well. Very strong influence!

Powerful Leader  

Why did the Republicans lose election in 1932? Franklin D. Roosevelt’s accession to power was supported not only by the strong aspects in the Democratic party horoscope and by strengthening of negative configurations in the horoscope of Republicans, but was the result of the very powerful horoscope of the leader himself! Franklin D. Roosevelt has strong enough conjunction of planets of Power in his horoscope – Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn joined together in Taurus. When by the time of election in 1932 these planets made trigons with Jupiter and Saturn transiting Virgo and Capricon respectively, it was the moment when he came to power. The most ambitious projects can be implemented due to such strong position of the planets. Still powerful horoscopes are rare so this rule don’t always lead to a desirable result and one can’t base estimate of the party’s success at the election using the horoscope of its leader only!

Fatal Venus Influence  

In the history of the Republican party there were periods when at elections the democratic leaders unexpectedly broke off the republicans presidents’ ruling and dramatically changed the country growth policy. The Republicans’ horoscope has in its structure the most vulnerable layout of planets of Power and interaction between them. Take notice that in the horoscope of Republicans there is Jupiter in Capricorn, he is ruled by Saturn, and Saturn is in Taurus ruled by Venus. Thus it is a function of Venus to determine the whole perspective of party progress, as she rules both Jupiter and Saturn!  On the one hand this is for the good cause it forms centre of energy allowing to accumulate strength and stay in power for long, but on the other hand it makes party very vulnerable during critical years.  .

That happened at 1912 election which was won by Woodrow Wilson,  in 1960,  when John F. Kennedy wan, in 1976 with James E. Carter  and in 1992 when Bill Clinton entered the White House. Such situation was caused by Venus turning around in Virgo and opposing natal Venus in Pisces in the horoscope of republican party a year before election! It is considered the last turn of Venus and as she doesn’t turn twice a year like other planets her turning has great impact on the situation. That’s why her influence is so important!

The roles of candidates to the presidential post are also very significant in this story of Fatal Venus. In the birth charts of republican candidates Venus was in an unstable position – she was turning and most often in adverse aspect to Saturn! Because of this the negative domain of events was created, weakening the position of the republicans as a result.

Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson.  Theodore Roosevelt has Venus turning around in Sagittarius.

Gerald Ford  and  James E. Carter. Gerald Ford has Venus starting turning a month before his birthday in May 1913, and at the moment of his birth she was finishing her turning and was in conjunction with Saturn.

Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy. A year before, when this two candidates for the post of President met at the election campaign, Venus was turning in Virgo! What is more interesting that Richard Nixon has Venus in Pisces in his horoscope – just the way she is in horoscope of the Republican party itself, and she’s squaring Saturn – another unlucky aspect.

George H. W. Bush and  Bill Clinton. George H. W. Bush has Venus turning around Cancer and squaring Saturn.

Venus Influence in 2008 election

John McCain has in his horoscope Venus in Virgo opposing Saturn, and besides, precisely a year earlier before his birthday, August 1935, she was turning around Virgo! The Venus influence is evident through one interesting fact of his biography. July 29, 1967 – aircraft carrier accident! Venus was turning in Virgo! By then a Lieutenant Commander, McCain was again almost killed in action on July 29, 1967 while serving on Forrestal, operating at Yankee Station in the Gulf of Tonkin. The crew was preparing to launch attacks, when a Zuni rocket from an F-4 Phantom was accidentally fired across the carrier’s deck. The rocket struck McCain’s A-4E Skyhawk as the jet was preparing for launch. The impact ruptured the Skyhawk’s fuel tank, which ignited the fuel and knocked two bombs loose. McCain escaped from his jet by climbing out of the cockpit, working himself to the nose of the jet, and jumping off its refueling probe onto the burning deck of the aircraft carrier. Ninety seconds after the impact, one of the bombs exploded underneath his airplane. McCain was struck in the legs and chest by shrapnel. The ensuing fire killed 132 sailors, injured 62 others, destroyed at least 20 aircraft, and took 24 hours to control.

Venus was in Virgo also at the time he was captured. Prisoner of war  On October 26, 1967, McCain was flying as part of a 20-plane attack against a thermal power plant in central Hanoi, a heavily defended target area that had previously been off-limits to U.S. raids. McCain’s A-4 Skyhawk was shot down by a Soviet-made SA-2 anti-aircraft missile while pulling up after dropping its bombs. McCain fractured both arms and a leg in being hit and ejecting from his plane. He nearly drowned after he parachuted into Truc Bach Lake in Hanoi. After he regained consciousness, a mob gathered around, spat on him, kicked him, and stripped him of his clothes.  Others crushed his shoulder with the butt of a rifle and bayoneted him in his left foot and abdominal area; he was then transported to Hanoi’s main Hoa Loa Prison, nicknamed the “Hanoi Hilton” by American POWs. Although McCain was badly wounded, his captors refused to give him medical care unless he gave them military information; they beat and interrogated him, but McCain only offered his name, rank, serial number, and date of birth. Soon thinking he was near death, McCain said he would give them information if taken to the hospital, hoping he could then put them off once he was treated.  A prison doctor came and said it was too late, as McCain was about to die anyway. Only when the North Vietnamese discovered that his father was a top admiral did they give him medical car.  and announce his capture. At this point, two days after McCain’s plane went down, that event and his status as a POW made the front pages of The New York Times and The Washington Post. Altogether, McCain was held as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam for five and a half years. McCain was finally released from captivity on March 15, 1973.

Let’s go back to election question. Last planet turning was exactly in Virgo, August 2007, when the election race was at its height! This also evidences that republicans will lose forthcoming presidential election. But I’m sure it is important to note that this very Venus aspect in the horoscope of John McCain will be the most influential for election outcome. It’s like anti-defeat vaccine for 2008 elections. Take notice that he was about to die in 1967 during aircraft carrier accident, and had survived in captivity when Venus was in Virgo. That means this aspect of his Venus creates a saving effect for his fate. So we can conclude that in hard contest he will gain a victory with a small preponderance of votes!

2008 Election Result

Barack Obama has in horoscope tau-square made from crucial planets in the Democratic party horoscope – Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and this suggests unfavorable prognosis for Democratic party in 2008 elections. That is why finally the republicans will keep governing the White House for the next term!

2012 Perspective

Probably the Republican party will lose for long its dominating position not only in the next presidential, but Congress elections as well and that will be caused by the recurrence of powerful and disastrous tau-square of Saturn, Uranus and Pluto. And this tau-square will be again in the same cardinal cross as it was during 1930 – 1932 when Republicans had lost their control over the White House and Congress for as much as 60 years.
