Tarpan and Pind Daan in Pitru Paksha 2024 at Haridwar

Pitru Tarpan and Pind Daan are ancient Vedic rituals performed to honor and express gratitude to departed ancestors. According to Hindu belief, these rituals help in the salvation of the souls of our forefathers, ensuring they attain Moksha (liberation) and no longer remain trapped in the cycle of rebirth.

It is believed that by performing these rituals, the descendants can seek forgiveness for their ancestors’ unfulfilled desires, helping them find peace and protecting the family from the influence of negative karmas.
