Summarizing the essence of various texts in just a hundred verses certainly shows excellent knowledge and experience. ‘Hora Shatak’ is also such a scholarly work. There is some disagreement among scholars regarding its original author. In this “Sarvartha Chintamani” is mentioned twice. It is possible that Shri Vyankat Sharma or one of his disciples may have composed it and out of modesty, he did not consider it appropriate to give his name. The English language version of famous astrologer Shri Jagannath Bhasin’s commentary on this was done by Shri Gauri Shankar Kapoor, which has been published by Ranjan Publications. This book impressed me so much that I could not stop myself from writing on it. In this, there are chances of becoming a Saint Mahatma, side vision, attainment of auspiciousness and strength due to Dwadshasya Venus, bad luck causing diseases, chances of becoming an adopted son, chances of increasing aggressiveness or anger in nature, chances of attaining happiness and glory and chances of bad company.
