My maiden writing a book on astrology is being done by first Praying to Lord Shiva for his blessings. I pray for the wisdom, and strength to write what is true to the best of my knowledge and memory which can be used for better understanding of this divine subject by all readers.
While attending a lecture, my mentor Mr. Sunil John pointed out one day that no human being should go on taking knowledge from this universe and that he has a solemn duty to give back at least a part of it to the community. This reminded me of a long pending wish of my late wife as she had wanted that I should compile my astrological knowledge and client handling experiences and publish them in a form of a book which could be useful to the entire astrological community.
I discussed with my daughter about this. We both agreed that I should write the book in a way which can appeal to all section of people. I then decided to write the book in a story telling format narrating few of my most interesting case studies which I came across in my last 30 years of professional astrological consulting.
I sincerely believe that a non-astrologer also will find this book interesting to read as it will give them a fair idea about the subject, its usefulness in day-to-day life and what they can expect out of astrology.
Needless to mention, there is enough food for thought for those sections of people who are dealing in astrology on a routine basis.
Astrology has predictive quality in a consistent and decisive manner. Such an approach is missing in astrology. Few books of astrology available today attempt to outline a definite step by step methodology of analysing a particular event and arriving at a pinpointed prediction. So far, no such trend has been created in astrology. As a result, student and professional astrologers often remain confused about how to deliver precise predictions in regard to both quality and quantity of an event including its exact time and duration of appearance. The key from where to start reading a horoscope and where to end has remained a grey area for most of us.
It is a herculean task to remove this complexity and bring out the real essence of the subject. A sincere attempt has been made in this book to formalise some of the techniques which can help the readers to arrive at a definite conclusion in the shortest possible time. The basis adopted is essentially Parashari in nature.
I would like to mention that not all areas of life could be covered in this book due to the increasing volume and I have tried to reasonably recreate the mood and circumstances that had existed at the time of the consultations to make it more interesting to the readers. The astrological combinations and techniques have been provided in form of the commentary.
The style and fashion of presentation is unique in itself. The idea was to create something different rather than mere writing another academic episode. I hope, both the astrological and the non-astrological community will find it interesting to read and can derive many inputs to suit their respective needs.
