Technique: Saptarishis Astrology

With Obeisance to Lord Ganapati, to beloved Rahu who is the Cause of Karma. We submit this technique at the holy feet of Sage Bhrighu, the founder of astrology, the greatest who is most beloved and most loving.

BSP rule is where Rahu sits it gives effects more in the 37^th year of one’s life for that house (at times) and its 9^th aspect implements itself in the 37^th year.

Sp. Note: When it comes to retrograde planets and especially Rahu always remember that event can be round about and being retrograde event can happen before or later than the appointed time. Basically it will not follow any fixed rules.

Chart 1: Marilyn Monroe

Date: June 1, 1926

Time: 9:30:00 am

37^th year would be June 1962 to June 1963, Rahu is placed in the 12H of Exit and it’s 9^th aspect would fall in the 8H of death where 6L of disease/accident Jupiter (Jeeva – Life) is placed, thus the scandal and mystery signification of Rahu implemented itself in the 37^th year of Marilyn Monroe’s life and she reportedly died of a drug overdose on August 5, 1962.

Richard Bruce “Dick” Cheney (born January 30, 1941) served as the 46th Vice President of the United States from 2001 to 2009 under George. He briefly served as Acting President of the United States on two occasions during which Bush underwent medical procedures. His 37^th year would be from 30^th Jan 1977 to 30^th Jan 1978.

Rahu is sitting in the sign of Virgo which is the natural house of diseases, the BSP rule says that where Rahu sits it implements itself in the 37^th year and Rahu is the karaka for smoking and drinking. Once a heavy smoker, Cheney sustained the first of five heart attacks in 1978, at age 37.

Rahu is sitting in the 2H of administration and its 9th aspect would be on the 10H of career which would implement itself in the 37th year with some important ‘administrative profession’ carrying the influence of 2H and Rahu to it. ADB & Wikipedia gives that in 1978 (37^th year), he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Wyoming, and subsequently reelected five times and from which he was selected to be Secretary of Defense by George H. W. Bush in 1989. As the date of his election in 1978 to the U.S House of Representatives is not given in both ADB and Wikipedia it is assumed that it might have been in 1978 but probably after Jan 1978, technically making it the 38^th year (active year) thus this BSP rule is not working very soundly on this chart though the difference would be only of few months which is possible considering that transit influences might have delayed it & so on.

Data given in his book “Esoteric Astrology.” In his book, “The Progressed Horoscope,” he published his chart with the word “approximately” after the time. Rodden’s Ratings gives a B rating to the birth time.

37^th year will be from Aug 1896 to Aug 1897, his Rahu sitting in the 6H aspects the 2H of family life whose lord is Mercury, and also is the 11^th lord of wife. He married in 1896 (date not known), a relationship that was said to be platonic. Although his time of birth is given a B rating and hence Navamsa cannot be depended upon, for the sake of theory lets visit his Navamsa and apply this BSP method of Rahus 9^th aspect in the 37^th year.

Rahu sits in the 12H and aspects the 8^th house by his 9^th aspect and there in the 8H one finds Mars the 7L of marriage, which is what happened to him in the 37^th year. By seeing this combination one can broadly also say that there would have been rise in his occult knowledge or gain of status in occult fields after this event of marriage.

Chart 4: Volunteer

Chart belongs to one of our volunteers, Rahu sits in the 7H of marriage and 37^th year would be from May 2009 to May 2010. As per the BSP rule Rahu implements itself in the 37^th year where he sits, so you can find that as here Rahu sits in the 7H of marriage he got married at this late age. Several stalwarts in astrology had predicted his marriage with predictions ranging from 28^th year to 36^th year except 2-3 astrologers. Rahu’s 9^th aspect will implement itself in the 3H where Moon is placed who is the 2^nd lord of family life. A child was also born to him in the 37^th year of life thereby indicating gain of family. The natives Navamsa is suspect but just for the sake of application procedures we would use it.

If we use true nodes the Rahu goes in 6H whereas with mean nodes Rahu is in the 7H with Moon, earlier you saw the connection of Rahu Moon and it is to be noted that he got married in Moon AD. Coming back to Rahu it implements itself in the 37^th year and here in D9 it sits in the 7H of marriage with Moon.

Chart belongs to one of our volunteers, 37^th year would be from Sept 2004 to Sept 2005. Note here that Rahu sits in the 5H aspecting the 1H and the 1^st lord Mars goes in the 9H of father.

He was asked ‘37 year of ur life what happened re 1st house, 9th house and did it have flavor of Rahu’ ?

His reply

if u r referring 2005 the 37^th year, then in Feb 8, 2005, I lost my father and the same year my wife business partner left her after doing some fraud regarding money in April-May.

If you notice the 1H where Rahu aspects, would be the 7^th house of business and business partner from the 7H of wife. Thus Rahus flavor was implemented by its 9^th aspect and her business partner cheated her. The lord of this 1H where Rahu is aspecting is disposited in the 9H of father so some event can happen in the life of father.

Chart 6: John F Kennedy

American author, politician and the 35th U.S. President from 1961-63, the first Catholic and the youngest man to win the nation’s highest office. The 37^th year would be from May 1953 to May 1954. Rahu sits in the 4H of home life, Rahus dispositor Jupiter who is the 7L of marriage goes into the 9H of a Dharmic Event with Venus (woman). Rahus 9^th aspect goes to the 12H where Moon is placed who is the 11^th lord of wife of D1 and also in D9 he is the 11L of wife. Kennedy married Jacqueline Bouvier on 9/12/1953, 11:00 AM EDT, Newport, RI which will be in the 37^th year of his life. It is to be noted that Rahu aspects J in Sarvatobhadra Chakra and his wife’s name is Jacqueline.

Chart 7: Another Volunteer of Saptarishis Astrology

Chart of another volunteer, Rahu is in the 6^th house of job whose lord Jupiter is in the 8^th (of change) from 4H of residence. Rahus 9^th aspect would be on the 2H whose lord is Mars placed in Cancer in the 10H of one’s career, so an event regarding his career can happen in his 37^th year which would be from Aug 2004 to Aug 2005. Native works in Defense and he had a transfer from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad.

Application on Divisional Charts

In his D60 this Rahu BSP technique can be applied, his Rahu is in the 12H its 9^th aspect will fall in the 37^th year in 8H of change whose lord Sun is in the 3H of change of residence with Venus the 10^th lord of career so he changed his location to Hyderabad due to career.

Rahu’s 9^th aspect is in the 11^th House which is the 8^th (dangers) from the 4^th house of vehicle & chastity and in the sign of Gemini which signifies hands & travelling.

Well known Hollywood actor and friend of Elizabeth Taylor (co-starred in three films together including Raintree County in 1957). He crashed his car into a telephone pole (communications Gemini) on May 12, 1956 (before the 37^th year) after he left the home of Elizabeth Taylor, leaving him disfigured (note lagna lords involvement). The subsequent long months of recovery occurred during the 37^th year, which he did not handle well. As a result, his drinking increased heavily (rahu) and he began stockpiling thousands of pills, both legitimate and recreational. His substance abuse (rahu) and related relationship problems plagued him until he died in 1966.

In the navamsa below, Rahu sits in the 8^th House in Aquarius aspected by it’s lord and 7^th house lord, Saturn in the 6^th (health) substantiating long term health issues exacerbated by relationship issues. Rahu’s 9^th aspect is the 4^th House wherein lies the Sun (health karaka) who is debilitated in 4^th house of vehicles. So in the 37^th year he should be careful of vehicles and health.

Rahu’s 9^th aspect is the 11^th house (Cancer) whose ruler is in the 10^th (Gemini) with Mars (R). Natal Rahu is in the 3^rd in Scorpio the natural 8^th house of sex scandals, note this & also the Aroodam of the 8^th house. 3L Mars is karaka of the 3^rd as well as lord and sits in the 10H of career, so some major event in his career should happen.

Life changing (and career changing) relationships were initiated and developed. In 1918, Roosevelt visited Britain and France to inspect American naval facilities and during this visit he met Winston Churchill, his future ally in World War II, for the first time. Also, in 1918 (37^th year), his wife Eleanor learned that her husband was having an affair (rahu) with her secretary, Lucy Mercer. Eleanor found letters revealing the affair in Roosevelt’s luggage when he returned from World War I. Their marriage survived, but in name only. Note that Lucy was a secretary who is involved in typing and taking notes (3H matter where Rahu sits) and Roosevelt’s wife discovered letters (again a 3rd H matter where Rahu sits).

Note Rahu is karaka for cheating and scandals and it has given the result by splitting up the marriage and family life of the President.

The chart belongs to one of Saptarishis Astrology’s team members. Her 37th year would be from 13^th March 1998 to 13^th March 1999. An event happened in her life on 9th March 1999 5 a.m which would be her 37^th year of her life. Now notice that Rahu sits in the 8H of death in the sign of Cancer which is the Natural sign of Mother in the zodiac, get the hint. The 9^th aspect of Rahu as per this BSP rule will be on the 4^th house of Mother, 4L Jupiter goes in the 12^th from it & in 4H sits Venus the 8^th lord of death (from the 4H of mother). On 9^th March 1999 her mother died in her 37^th year thus showing the applicability of the BSP Rahu’s 9th aspect rule.

Natal Rahu is in the 5^th in Pisces with exalted Venus.

Considered to be the last major star and one of the greatest to come out of the old Hollywood system (her first studio contract was at nine years of age and is known for owning some of the world’s most precious jewelry), this period is probably the most prolific portion of her career. During this time, while married to Richard Burton (fifth husband, first marriage), she starred with him in the following films: The Taming of the Shrew (1967), Doctor Faustus (1967), The Comedians (1967), and Boom (1968). She also appeared in John Huston’s Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967) during which she became friends with co-star Marlon Brando (who replaced her dear friend Montgomery Clift who tragically died in 1966). One report indicates this caused a problem in her marriage with Richard Burton. She also starred in Secret Ceremony (1968) opposite Mia Farrow. After this time, her box-office drawing power considerably diminished.
