In Nadi Astrology Jupiter is Jeeva Karaka (Life Force) and Saturn is Karma Karaka (Significator of Ones Karma). Venus represents House and Mercury represents Land.

In Nadi astrology it is important to remember the sign connections as per laws depicted in the chart below:

Karma can broadly and loosely be interpreted as Ones Actions. – SA

The main directions are East, South, West and North:

• East Signs: Aries, Leo & Sagittarius
• South Signs: Taurus, Virgo & Capricorn
• West Signs: Gemini, Libra & Aquarius
• North Signs: Cancer, Scorpio & Pisces

Readers should remember following points,

• Planets in one direction are connected with each other, for example Mars is in 1^st sign and Jupiter is in 5^th sign from Mars, then Mars and Jupiter are connected with each other being in the same direction i.e. Eastern direction.
• Planets of Eastern direction establish connection with opposite direction i.e. Western direction, and planets of Northern direction establish connection with opposite direction i.e. Southern direction and vice versa.
• Retrograde planet represents two directions, suppose a retro planet is in South direction then it will represent South direction and being retrograde it will represent Eastern direction too.

When Would a Native Own a House

Nadi Principle: The slow moving planets Jupiter and Saturn play a significant role in timing when a native would move into his own house.

Rule 1: In natal chart either Mercury or Venus should be connected with either Saturn or Jupiter.

Rule 2:  Transit Saturn or transit Jupiter should establish connection with either natal Mercury or natal Venus.

Directional Relationship of planets mentioned in this article are based on the R. G. Rao’s Nadi aspect system. Let us take a few charts to illustrate the rules above.

Chart 1

1. In natal chart retro Jupiter goes to the South and connects natal Mercury and natal Jupiter and Venus are in the opposite directions (South_North) connecting each other.
2. Native entered new house on 17-Jan-1991 when transit Jupiter and natal Venus were in the same direction (North) and transit Jupiter and natal Mercury were in the opposite directions (North_South).

Chart 2

1. In natal chart Mercury and Jupiter connects each other being in the same direction (East) and natal Venus and natal Saturn are in the West direction connecting each other, in addition to this natal Saturn and natal Mercury are in opposite directions (West_East) connecting each other and natal Jupiter and Natal Venus are also in opposite directions (East_West) connecting each other.
2. Native entered new house on 13-Jun-2002 when transit Jupiter and natal Venus were in the same direction (West) and transit Jupiter and natal Mercury were in opposite directions (West_East).

Chart 3

1. In natal chart Saturn and Mercury are in opposite directions (East_West), and natal Venus and natal Jupiter are in the same direction (North) connecting each other.
2. Native entered new house on 13-Feb-1989, when transit Jupiter and natal Venus were in the opposite directions (South_North) and transit Saturn and natal Mercury were in opposite directions (East_West).

Chart 4

1. In natal chart retro Jupiter goes to the west and connects Mercury and natal Venus and natal Jupiter are in the opposite directions (East_West) connecting each other.
2. Native entered new house in 15-Apr-2004, when transit Jupiter and natal Venus were in the same direction (East) and transit Saturn and natal Mercury were in the same direction (West).

Chart 5

1. In natal chart retro Mercury goes to the North and connects Jupiter and natal Saturn and natal Mercury are in the opposite directions (South_North) connecting each other.
2. Native entered new house on 07-May-2007, when transit Jupiter and transit Saturn were connecting natal Mercury in the North and transit Jupiter and natal Mercury – Venus were in the opposite directions (West_East).

Chart 6

1. In natal chart retro Mercury goes to the West and connects natal Jupiter and natal Saturn in the East (opposite directions).
2. Native entered new house on 06-Oct-2011, when transit Jupiter and Natal Mercury were in the same direction (North) and transit Saturn and natal Venus were in the same direction, (South).

Chart 7

1. In natal chart retro Saturn goes to the West and connects natal Venus and natal Mercury and natal Jupiter – Saturn are in opposite directions (East-West).
2. Native entered new house on 29-May-2005, when transit Jupiter and natal Mercury were in the same direction (East) and transit Jupiter and natal Venus were in the opposite directions, (East-West).

Chart 8

1. In natal chart retro Saturn goes to the South and connects natal Venus and natal Jupiter – Saturn and natal Mercury are in opposite directions (West_ East).
2. Native entered new house on 20-June-2010, when transit Saturn and natal Venus were in the same direction (South) and transit Jupiter and natal Venus were in the opposite directions, (North-South).

Chart 9

1. In natal chart Saturn and Mercury are in the same direction (South) and natal Saturn and natal Venus are in opposite directions (South-North).
2. Native entered new house on 24-Feb-2008, when transit Saturn and natal Venus were in the same direction (North) and transit Saturn and natal Mercury were in the opposite directions, (North-South).

1. In natal chart Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury are in the same direction (West) and natal Jupiter_Saturn and natal Venus are in opposite directions (West_East).
