January begins the New Year of 2012 and hopes and expectations run high, but the future looks bleak with unfolding economic crises. The most interesting transit will be Mars turning retrograde. Transiting Mars will station at 29 degrees Leo, which is the exact degree of President Obama’s natal Mars in his 8th house. The New Year starts out with difficult news for President Obama. Mars is the planet of anger, war and attacks and indicates a contentious year of struggles, difficulties and attacks on American soil. The year of 2012 will continue with one difficult event after another. Time will seem to be speeding up.

As Jupiter and Saturn face off in opposition, the economic balance will seem to be in full swing and is an illusion of hope for a New Year. When Jupiter and Saturn oppose, the economy will begin to find a balance, but there will be still one more quincunx to pass through before the economic crisis is over. This
last balancing act will inspire a positive economic outlook that will have the world spending and appearing to be functioning again, but don’t get too comfortable because the last bail out may be America. The last 6 months of the year will explode with a collapse unforeseen by many optimistic trendsetters.

Birth Chart for USA

The most significant aspect affecting the chart for the United States is that transiting Neptune is hovering around 7 degrees Aquarius the entire year of 2012, conjunct the Moon. In this chart, the natal Moon rules the 8th house of big money, power and banking. Neptune creates a fog of mystery, the unknown, therefore deception and denial. This aspect indicates that there is deceit and corruption on a deep level, pointing to controls that rule the world.

Neptune is also the planet that rules oil, water, oceans, drugs, alcohol and spirituality. Neptune pertains to anything that gives us an escape from the world of materialism, whether it is drugs, alcohol, spirituality or music. It rules the vastness and fluidity of the waters, seas and oceans. All fluids, such as oil, come under its jurisdiction. The powers (8th house) that control the United States are covering up control and use of oil for big money to manipulate the economic climate and business. Neptune is deception and the 8th house is big money, as in the powers behind banks and stock market.

Viewed as the planet of deception, Neptune is called the ―great dissolver and can indicate a hidden plot to hurt Americans as the Moon rules the 8th house (death and endings) and is in the 3rd house (travel and communications). This deception will be within communication channels, possibly concerning travel (air, water or land).

The 3rd house, where the natal Moon resides, pertains to education, learning, travel and mass communications. All these areas are under tremendous transformation and will change radically this next year. The way we travel and communicate will change. Neptune rules film and movies, which will convey profound messages but also indicates control the world has over the media. Vehicles for travel will be changing fuel sources; transportation, as we know it, will become obsolete. Cars that run on gas will change to new sources of fuel, such as natural gas, electric and, eventually, solar energy. This will provide new jobs involving this vast means to accommodate new vehicles built to run on new fuel sources.

Spirituality will have a new meaning as the boundaries of fundamentalism and fear give way to a more understanding, compassionate way based on acceptance and love.

Mars will be in the sign of Leo for 8 months from November 2011 until June 2012 in the 9th house of law and regulations opposing the natal Moon. This indicates new laws change government regulations to inspire new growth within the economy. Outdated immigration laws will be changed.

Transiting Mars will cause pollution of land, such as in radiation and oil spills. There will be mistrust of world leaders and death and dissolution of many governments and leaders. Leo rules leaders and rulership. Mars as it is in opposition to Neptune raises oil prices to the point of economic crisis. Mars and Neptune are affecting the most personal point in the chart, the natal Moon.

The first exact square between Uranus and Pluto will occur June 24th 2012. Uranus will be 14 degrees at the time of its station (July 13th 2012) and Pluto 14 degrees Sagittarius which is square natal Jupiter. Earthquakes are predicted in California because Jupiter rules the 4th house of the homeland. The devastating earthquake that hit San Francisco April 18th 1906 had similar aspects affecting this natal Jupiter while Uranus was 15 degrees of Sagittarius, Neptune was 15 degrees of Gemini, Mercury (retrograde) was 15 degrees of Pisces. Uranus and Neptune were aspecting natal Jupiter. A big earthquake will hit the USA before Uranus leaves the sign of Pisces, because it is the planet of earthquakes and is in the 4th house of our home and land. Uranus is in Pisces until 2016.

There will be enormous changes during this time. A devastating event involving Pluto is likely, such as a nuclear bomb striking our homeland. Pluto rules atomic energy and Uranus is unexpected sudden events. Furthermore, Mars will be 14 degrees Virgo, all aspecting natal Jupiter in a grand cross configuration. The summer months will be very dangerous for America.

The year of 2012 will be intense, full of unexpected shifts, which are closing in on many upsets that will force the world to make changes in the way we live our lives, think and believe. The changes have begun but are not completely realized by the world.

Reorganization of world economies are the focus for the first 6 months but the last 6 months will be catastrophic in terms of social uprisings. There will be attacks that destroy countries and ruin governments. This applies especially to the United States. The summer months look drastic. Again, there is the possibility of a big earthquake and the destruction of the government.

Capricorn Ingress Chart

The Capricorn Ingress chart is a predictive chart that gives indicators for the entire year. It is calculated when the Sun enters into Capricorn. Many years ago, the winter solstice December 21st was the time that the Sun first entered the sign of Capricorn and, according to the tropical system of astrology used in the West, the winter solstice is still the time the Sun first enters the sign of Capricorn. With Vedic astrology, signs have moved backward due to precession and the Sun now enters Capricorn on January 14th.

Jupiter and Saturn are in opposition, with Saturn in Libra, the powerful sign of exaltation, and Jupiter in Aries, the sign of new beginnings. The 6th and 12th house placements deal with enemies, health matters and work in America. There are enemies — open and secret — affecting the future of America.

Venus is in the 10th house of government and is closely conjunct Neptune, indicating deception and a rosy picture of the government and the President; but appearances are not as they seem. Hard work and discipline are needed and, though it looks like there is progress in leadership, the task is blocked and the results are undermined.

Mercury is in the 8th house with Pluto and rules the 2nd house of money. This is a very hard aspect to overcome, for the country is controlled financially and very powerful organizations control world finances.

The Moon in the 5th house can lighten up the year, for this is the house of entertainment and investments. The stock market will go through many peaks and valleys, for planet Uranus is opposing the Moon. If we understand the stock market, we can make money in the gamble this year, for the spikes up and down are radical.

Mars in the 4th house can indicate attacks on our soil. Since Venus is with Neptune, there is the likelihood that our soil is being polluted with toxic radiation and poisons. We are being blinded by the media and problems are brewing beneath the surface.

Sun in the 9th house indicates laws being changed. The truth is revealed slowly throughout the year.

With Rahu in the 7th house of opponents and Ketu in the 1st, Rahu is a powerful opponent to America and Ketu indicates losses. This country will experience loss at the hands of powerful opponents and enemies. The next year is going to be a difficult year concerning our leaders and protection. They are already here, hidden in places we don’t expect. Information from the media seeps out to uncover the truth.

Many creative sources are surfacing. Inventions and discoveries will change our existence forever. Brilliant minds are at work developing new energy sources, medical discoveries; to be revealed to the world, instead of destroyed by the powerful who see them as a threat to their financial security.

Powers that control oil and drug companies must allow new discoveries to take over and change the world. Their plan is to take over and make money from these new discoveries, for this is the reason for allowing this change. Powerful money that runs the world is permitting cures and new technology for different fuel sources so they can shift their financial gains into new areas, the old ways can no longer benefit them. This redirection of their money will produce a world of new growth and prosperity. With the
financial ruin of the world, they are ready to redirect the world economy. The final fall will indeed be the end that begins a new life and world.
