Tajik Prashna Shastra, also known simply as Tajik astrology, is a branch of Horary astrology that originated in medieval Persia and gained prominence in the Indian subcontinent, particularly in the region of Tajikistan and parts of Central Asia. The word “Tajik” refers to Persians or people of Persian descent.
This system of astrology combines elements of traditional Persian astrology with Indian astrology, particularly Jyotish (Vedic astrology). Tajik Prashna Shastra is primarily concerned with answering specific questions posed by individuals or querents, hence the term “Prashna,” which means question in Sanskrit.
Key features of Tajik astrology include:
Use of Horary Charts: The foundation of Tajik astrology lies in the construction and interpretation of horary charts based on the exact time a question is asked. These charts provide insights into the current circumstances and potential outcomes related to the question at hand.
Planetary Influences: Tajik astrology places significant emphasis on the positions and movements of the planets at the time of the question. Each planet is believed to exert specific influences on different aspects of life, and their placements in the horary chart are analyzed to provide answers and predictions.
Yogas and Dasha Systems: Similar to Vedic astrology, Tajik Prashna utilizes yogas (combinations) and Dasha systems (planetary periods) to assess the potential outcomes and timing of events indicated in the horary chart.
Astrological Remedies: Tajik astrology often suggests remedies or actions to mitigate negative influences indicated in the horary chart. These remedies can include wearing specific gemstones, performing rituals, or adopting certain lifestyle changes to align with favorable planetary energies.
Integration of Persian and Indian Traditions: Tajik astrology reflects the historical and cultural exchange between Persian and Indian astrological traditions. It incorporates Persian terminology, concepts, and techniques while also drawing upon the foundational principles of Indian astrology.
Tajik Prashna Shastra continues to be practiced by astrologers in Tajikistan, parts of Iran, and among communities in the Indian subcontinent with Persian heritage. Despite its niche status compared to more widely known astrological systems, Tajik Shastra remains valued for its ability to provide focused insights and predictions in response to specific questions and concerns.

In this Yog the 2 planets should have a mutual aspect on each other. The degrees of a fast-moving planet should be more and the degrees of a slow-moving planet should be less.
This Yoga is caused due to the variation in the speed of the planets moving. If the faster planet with less longitude is backward of a slower moving planet with greater longitude, Ithasala Yoga is caused.
When there is an Ithasala between two planets and Saturn and Mars are within the orb of the faster planet giving light, this yoga is caused, and the results are unfavorable such as failure, fear from enemies, etc.
When there is Ithasala between two planets and the Moon is involved in it then Kamboola is caused. This produces favorable results.
If Lagnesh & Karyesh are combusted, debilitated, retrograded, or posited in 6,8,12 houses, then Vruddha Yoga will be there.
When there is no aspect between the 2 lords and the slower moving planet is in between these two lords involved in aspect with them then slower moving planet will transfer light from the other faster of the two lords to the slower.
A Nakta Yoga is formed when the lord of ascendant and the lord of house related to the question are not forming Ithashal Yoga in a Prashna Kundali and the third planet is forming Ithashal Yoga with both the planets.
