2013 Predictions Saturn and Rahu

Approaching a new year I began my predictions for 2013. To make predictions a look at past astrological cycles in relation to past historical events give meaning to the future cycles. The most significant aspect occurring in 2013 involves Saturn and Rahu in Libra.

Saturn takes 30 years to cycle through the zodiac and Rahu takes 18 ½ (Rahu travels backwards in the zodiac).  They conjunct every 11 years, but the sign they converge in is crucial in their effects.

So my search was to find the last time in history they conjoined in the sign Libra. I began to investigate the details surrounding the cycle of Saturn and Rahu throughout history and significant historical events. Here are some the interesting facts surrounding this astrological aspect. With the facts presented I will let you be the judge of the possible out come of the planetary events in our future.

Rahu and Ketu

Rahu and Ketu, are the points where the Sun and Moon cross paths, thus determine where the eclipses occur for that year.  The signs they occur are where the most powerful change is due.  Rahu magnifies the planets it is conjunct. These planets and what they represent become critical for that year and indicate the focus of energy.

Saturn

Saturn is the planet of the material physical world, for it rules structure and the constraints of time. Everything of this world is restricted and eroded by time. Saturn rules time, structure, discipline, responsibility, organization, old age, wisdom, maturity, delays, setbacks and death. It rules the seriousness of the physical reality. It teaches us our most valuable lessons through perseverance, diligence, hard work and experience. We don’t have a choice with Saturn because the ravage’s of time cannot be overcome or avoided, but without the influence of Saturn our world would be in chaos.

Libra

The sign Libra concerns balance, peace, relationships, fairness, government and justice. Saturn in Libra is in its most powerful position for it is the sign of exaltation. So all the areas described by Saturn will manifest profoundly in our lives and world.

Saturn conjunct Rahu in Libra

When analyzing cycles it is important to review previous cycles to conclude their effects. Each segment of time is unique, there is never a time where all the coordinates are exactly the same, but there are unique similarities.

Here are the principles to be considered when assessing the forth-coming conjunction of Saturn and Rahu.

The sign this conjunction occurs is extremely important. Vedic astrology gives power to the planets in terms of the strengths and weakness in the signs. The energies of the planets become more powerful in the signs of exaltation and weak in the debilitated signs. Furthermore, Rahu exaggerates this energy for good or bad depending on their signs of strength or weakness.

Mars and Sun will travel neck in neck together in same signs March 15^th-June 15^th 2013

Jan.-Apr 2011 Mars and Sun were transiting together producing riots and destruction in Egypt and the assassination of Osama Bin Laden.

There is a Solar Eclipse On May 9^th (25 degrees Aries)

Most Intense: Ketu conjunct Mars opposed Saturn/Rahu

November 3^rd (17 degrees Libra) Rahu conjunct Saturn

The houses eclipses occupy for each individual chart will give either good or bad effects.

Jupiter will exaggerate the energy as it trines Saturn while in Gemini and conjoins Venus, and Mercury in June 2013.

Few more interesting facts:

President Lincoln had Transiting Rahu conjunct his natal Rahu at the time of his assassination, 10^th from his natal Moon.

President Kennedy had Transiting Rahu conjunct transiting Natal Ketu in his 10^th house (public standing) at the time of his assassination.

Rahu and Ketu aspect important planets indicating events of fate and destiny.

Saturn was retrograde on April 14^th 1865 within 3 degrees of Rahu.

Mitt Romney (Republican)

Mitt Romney has Transiting Jupiter and Rahu on his ascendant and natal Rahu aspecting his natal Moon, Jupiter and Ketu in the 7^th house.

6/8 aspect (quincunx) for Saturn: not considered full. I have found it to be very consistent with great losses. Transiting Saturn will be aspecting his natal Moon by an 8^th aspect.

Note- Romney has transiting Saturn aspecting natal Saturn ruler of the 10^th house which is known to give success. But after January 2013 Rahu and Ketu will shift into Libra and Aries where they are in the 6^th and 12^th houses for Romney and in the angles for Obama. The angles are stronger.

So this confuses the prediction. I believe the Presidential race will be very controversial and there may be a big switch between the elections and inauguration. This will stir up emotions, but the realization that this brings to America and the world is the destruction we do to ourselves, and the importance of learning to work together. This is the truth of Saturn and Rahu in Libra because they involve relations, politics and leadership.

The summer Months when Jupiter enters Gemini will bring together a great sense of peace as Jupiter conjuncts Venus and Mercury forming Sarasvati yoga, and will cast a trine to Saturn and Rahu. This will bring a turn in the economy. By July 8^th Saturn will turn direct taking on its full force and power in the sign of Libra.  Balance and healing are coming out of chaos and Destruction.

Amazing things will occur this year that changes the world. It will come from great difficulty but will change the future and ultimately bring balance to the chaos. This affects our moral, political and economic senses. There will be a healing for all from this intense time in history.
