This technique is well known among the elderly generation of astrologers is what has been noticed since few years.

All retrograde planets are of immense importance in a Natal Chart. The number of days after which the planet goes direct reflects the time in terms of years when the qualities of the retrograde planet come to fructification.

So, if Jupiter is retrograde at the time of birth for a person and it becomes direct after 40 days from birth, the 40th year of the person is most likely to show the Jupitarian qualities at its best.

In the above technique, some say that when this person reaches the age of 40, then the house where Jupiter is placed gives specific Result or just after that age and/or the house which is ruled by Jupiter gives specific fructification. The specific results concern the house it is placed in or owned.

Considering that the fast-moving planets like Mercury stays retrograde for roughly 3 weeks there are some opinions among Maharashtrian astrologers that multiplying it by 2 and or by 3, that means to say if Mercury goes direct in one’s birth chart after 10 days then either 20 years or 30 years would be result yielding age.

In the given example with Cancer ascendant Saturn is in Leo and retrograde in 2nd house and 26 days after his birth Saturn turned direct. He started earning from his 27th year.

Saturn is Retro in his chart, it is 8L of death in 12H of exit, aspecting the natal Mars of siblings and property. Now this Saturn from his natal chart becomes direct on 11th March 1916, which roughly comes to 71 days so 71 years. Doing a rough calculation it comes to 1916 (since he was born on 31st Dec evening 1915) plus 71 = 1987 as the Year.

That means some events after 1987 should happen in these areas (siblings and property), it happened after 2 years of triggering of this point (1987)

25 – 09 – 1989 His 2st younger sister passed away.
10 – 10 – 1989 At 12.40 p.m. got possession of his bungalow at Ahmedabad – after a period of 19 years occupation by a tenant.

Example 4:

Here the Mercury is retro stationery, and gets direct the next day , so that brings us 1st year itself. The person’s maternal grandmother passed away within a year after he was born. Mercury is 6th lord in 7th house and 7th is 4th from 4th which is mothers’ mother. The 6th House is 12th to the 7th that is it is the house of exit for the maternal grandmother.

Example 5:

Mercury is retrograde in his chart. After 10 days, it becomes direct. Mercurial abilities did show up in his life after 10th year. He consistently topped all his classes in school and college. Mercury is also 9th and 12th lord. His spiritual pursuit begins during 10th year.
