मन्दादष्टमतो मृत्युस्तातादीनां विचिन्तयेत्॥
mandādaṣṭamato mṛtyustātādīnāṁ vicintayet ||
Means from Saturn and 8th from saturn death or trouble like death or adverse event and father’s illeffects or father’s death can be discern. The basic logic is that Saturn is the karaka of sorrow and grief and is death karaka, also as said in part-II, ch-10 verse 10 ‘..शनिर्मृकरो
śanirmṛkaro..’ Here we used this method for bad events to natives life only and further on the life of father. The only logic to assess father from 8H to Sani is the lord of natural zodiac 10H of father. According to BPHS while giving significations of twelve houses it is said fo the 10H as ‘राज्यं चाकाशवृतिं च मानं चैव पितुस्तथा।…..’ means from 10H we can foresee unfixed activity-livelihood, connections or work related to goverment, happiness of father….and also ‘नवमेपि पितुर्ज्ञानं सूर्याच्च नवमेऽथवा….navamepi piturjñānaṁ sūryācca navame’thavā….’ means father satus can also be seen from 9H and 9H from Sun. Also according to aspects of Sani it has 50% aspect on its 8H also.
Yoga, bad or good visible in the natal chart will fructify in the life of the native when it will be felicitated by appropriate dasa and gochara either malevolence or benevolence is the prudent judgement of the astrologer to arrive at conclusions. This general but very effective concept is used here.
Please note the Steps
Step 1: Cross the house which is the 8th from natal Sign
Step 2 : See the natal position of that house and lord to evaluate malevolence effects.
Step 3: Whenever very dire malefics transit this house or aspect
this house in conjunction with a bad dasa is to be noted. I have used V dasa and chara dasa [ parasari] as both are applicable here. Result will be bad event/s.

Father’s death occurred in March-14-2000.
Step-1 8H from natal Saturn is Cancer sign posited with Moon there in Mercury nakstra
Step-2 8H is 11H from 10H of father and from karaka of ‘pita’ Sun, 9H is Taurus sign’s lord Venus posited with Rahu in 12th to Sun and 12th to Venus is 8H of natal Saturn. Rahu and Moon are parma marana karaka planets in the chart. Moon and Rahu maha dasa will be the most fatal for the native in any case. Saturn aspects Sun. LL Jupiter aspects luminaries in both 8H and 10H but could not protect father in its dasa-antar as it is in Mrita avastha and krura D60 ‘Dandayudha’ with as low as 53% vimsopaka bala [16-vargas].
Step-3 in the event month Rahu the parama marna karaka was transiting in Cancer sign, the 8th from natal Saturn, the house for final exit for father. Maha Dasa was Moon and Antar Dasa was Jupiter rest is with almighty. Char dasa is also very appropriate as MD Leo and AD is Virgo. It is very crystal clear episode of father’s death.

DOB: 20-Dec-1963; TOB: 04:23:00 Hrs (+05.30 east); POB: Jalgoan, India, 76 E 32, 21 N 02.
Death of father 10/14 – February- 2013; hospitalised and death.
Step-1 8H from natal Sani is Leo sign the natural karka sign of father and also 9H from Sun indicating pitru karaka house.
Step-2 Leo sign has no direct aspect except Ketu but I personally do not count aspect of it. Its lord Sun and natural karaka of pitru is afflicted by nodes in Sagi sign and ketu being natural karaka of final exit and Rahu is parama marana karaka planet posited in Gemini again parma marka sign for Leo and its lord Mercury is posited with Sun with 21deg distance.
Step-3 In the event month, Mars the dire malefic aspects Leo signs and more to it Mercury the functional maraka here in transit and dasa with nodes plays important role to cause the death according to me. Mercury is functional maraka and malefic here for Leo sign in transit-natal-dasa please see this carefully. Dasa running was Sat MD – Mercury AD and chara dasa was Gemini MD – Sagi AD and rest is clear.

Father of this native is died in road accident while returning home from holy place at his birth place on 11-January-2012.
Step-1 8H from Sani is Cancer sign 10H posited with Mars and Venus and its lord Moon posited in 9H of natal chart having the least SAV 20 only.
Step-2 10HL Moon is posited in 12H of final exit to its sign and house of father. Venus is param maraka from Saturn. Moreover, mrityu karaka sthana to Cancer sign is Leo [2H to Cancer – BPHS] and Gemini [12H to Cancer, final exit] and both the lords [Sun-Mercury] is with Moon our concerned planet more to it Saturn-Rahu aspects it. Rahu in kumbha the hidden sign may give the result of Saturn. If we see the equal house system the picture will be more clear as Ketu [karaka of final exit] posited in 8H from Satrun. So most fatal dasa will be Saturn-Ketu-Mercury. Jupiter stumble to protect as it is bala & sayan avastha, Rasi sandi, Ghora the cruel sashtiyamsa and varga position of Jupiter is malefic/neutral in total vargas except 5.
Step-3 on the event date Rahu [full] -Saturn [dim] aspects Cancer sign and its lord Moon. There is no Vedha to it and dasa was Saturn MD the Vipat tara and Ketu AD Pratyak tara [to Moon] brings the death of father of this young native. Chara dasa was Capricorn MD – Capricorn AD.

Step-2 Lord of Capricorn Saturn is in 4H of home life and 6H of mishaps from Capricorn. The sign Capricorn is posited by parama marka Venus the natal 3HL [8th from 8th] & 8HL [death] posited there with 12HL Jupiter and 8HL sun from Capricorn sign. Saturn is conjunct with Moon and Ketu the natural exit lord.
Step-3 On the event date dire malefic Mars-Sun posited in Capricorn and dasa is Saturn the lord concerned and antar is that of Moon posited with Saturn.
