For many of us Marriage is a mystery, it is very hard in Astrology to find the date and type of marriage. There are lots of methods to find the date of marriage in astrology.
One we will discuss here and I am not taking credit of this method as I am only a medium to reveal it. This method is mentioned / discussed with illustration in Mr. C.S. Patel’s book ‘Navamsha in Astrology’.
He elucidates hints in it that there are lots of information about this method. The method I am going to write about is an advanced method of what Mr. C.S. Patel has given. Mr. Pawan Chandra has worked a lot on this method of C. S. Patel and it was he who revealed it to me. Mr. C.S. Patel & Mr. Pawan Chandra is the only person who should get the credit.
Mr. Pawan Chandra had discussed lots of related rule in his books published by Mothilal Banarsi Das ( Jyotish Ke Anubhoot Rahashya & Vivah & Time), also available in Saptarishis Astrology book shop.
The mentor of Mr. Pawan Chandra, Sri A.B. Sukhla a great man and soul, gave one Hymns from “Atharveda” to Mr. Pawan Chandra with the help of this quotation from Ved he was able to discover this rule
1 year = 1 cycle= 360 days, if we multiply it by three it gives 360 x 3 = 1080
The value of one Navamsha is 3°20’
If 1080 is divided by 3°20’ (3.33) we get 324.
This 324 is a root value, for finding Marriage we have to
Step A: Multiply Lagna longitude by 324
Step B: 9 cycles (each of 360 days), which adds up to 360 x 9= 3240 days.
Step C: We have to add step a) & step b).
Some points before we go further
- The technique though sounds technical and to the day but it does not give us the date of marriage in real practice but kind of brings you closer to the year.
- This article is going to be in 3 parts and unless all the 3 parts are read the flavor of this technique will not be savored.
- Here only cycle of 9 is being mentioned; there are 2 more cycles like this.
- Even after all the 3 parts are read one will realize that 100 % efficiency is not achieved.
The first example we take is of the ‘Bhishma Pita Maha’ of Jyotish Mr. C.S. Patel.
Date of Birth – 31-Dec-1915
Time of Birth – 7:44 PM
Latitude = 23 N 02’
Longitude = 72 E 39
Ascendant = 3s 8° 53’
Ignore the signs (in this case 3 signs)
Asc = 8° 53’
Lets convert it to exact decimals by taking it as
60=100
53’= ?
53 x 100/60=88.33
Hence 8° 53’= 8.88 as Asc
Thus,
Asc = 8.88 (8° 53’) x 324 = 2878 days
Add 9 years cycle = 3240 days
6118 days
His DOB is 31-Dec-1915 & Date of marriage is 28-May-1933
(Date of Marriage in days)
= 17 yrs + 4 months +28
= 6120 days +120 days (30 days months hence 360 days year) + 38 days
= 6268 days
He got married in 6268 days whereas as per our previous theory calculation we got 6118 days which is difference of 150 days i.e. 5 months only.
Example – 2
The second example we take Mr. Pawan Chandra
DOB 24 June (Due to some reason his Birth information we are not giving here)
Date of Marriage is 8086 days.
His Ascendant is 14° 1’
Now Start Calculation
14° 1’ x 324 = 7781 days
Difference is 8068 – 7781 = 287 days
Example – 3
J.K. Sharma
DOB – 27.02.1965
Place – Delhi (India)
Time – 8:43 PM
Date of Marriage – 7.12.1981
Ascendant = 5S 70d 57m
= 70d 57m x 324 = 5815
Date of Marriage – Date of Birth
(7.12.1981 – 27.02.1965) = 6040
Difference = 6040 – 5815 = 224 days
Example – 4
Rajeev Ghandhi
DOB – 20.08.1944
Time – 7:16AM
Place – Mumbai ( India)
Date of Marriage – 23.02.1968
Ascendant = 4S 50d 51m
= 50d 51m x 324 = 5135 + 3240
= 8375
Date of Marriage – Date of Birth
= 8466
Difference = 8466 – 8375 = 90 days
Example – 5
DOB – 26.3.1951
Time – 8:28AM
Place – Jammu (India)
Date of Marriage – 23.02.1968
Ascendant = 0S 90d 26m
= 90d 26m x 324 = 6296 + 3240
= 9536
Difference = 9601 – 9536 = 64 days
Example – 6
DOB – 25.1.1959
Time – 10:25 AM
Place – Ambala (India)
Date of Marriage – 06.07.1966
Ascendant = 11S 20d 44m
= 20d 44m x 324 = 6717
= 6717 + 3240
= 9957
Difference = 9881 – 9957 = 76 days
Example – 7
DOB – 15.08.1978
Time – 02:25 PM
Place – Pauri (India)
Date of Marriage – 21.10.2004
Ascendant = 7S 20d 18m
= 200d 18m x 324 = 6577
= 6577 + 3240
= 9817
Difference = 9426 – 9817 = 391 days
Example – 8
DOB – 28.Aug.1965
Time – 1:57 AM
Place – Delhi (India)
Date of Marriage – 07.12.1981
Ascendant = 2S 18d 27m 30s
= 18d 27m 30s x 324 = 5980
Difference = 5980 – 5859 = 121 days
Example – 9
DOB – 27.1.1967
Time – 3:58 AM
Place – Delhi (India)
Date of Marriage – 09.07.1989
Ascendant = 7S 24d 24m
= 24d 24m x 324 = 7905
Difference = 8082 – 7905 = 176 days
Method – 2
There is another method to find date of Marriage. For every one the cycle of 7 is very important. First take the longitude of Ascendant and multiply by 216 and then add 7 years on it (7 years = 2520 days) (In this method dome time difference will be 1 exact year)

Date of Marriage – 26 March 1942
Ascendant = 28d 10m 17s
= 28d 10m 17s x 216 = 6084 days
6084 + 2520
= 8604
Difference = 8767 – 8604 = 163 days
Example – 2
Rajiv Gandhi
DOB – 20 August 1944
Time – 7:16 AM
Place – Mumbai ( India)
Date of Marriage – 23.02.1968
Ascendant = 15d 46m 52s
= 15d 46m 52s x 216 = 3408 days
3408 + 2520
= 8448

Date of Marriage – 26 February 1968
Ascendant = 25d 21m 23s
= 25d 21m 23s x 216 = 5476 days

Difference = 9438 – 9345 = 92 days

= 20d 9m x 216 = 4352 days

Difference = 360 days

Date of Marriage – 9 May 1993
Ascendant = 1S 13d 26m 56s
= 13d 26m 56s x 216 = 2904 days
2904 + 2520 = 5424
5424 + 2520 = 7944
7944 + 2520
= 10464
The Second Method gives accurate results.
Infact the 7 year method and 1st Method both are based on ‘Navamsha’ & ‘Ardh Navamsha’ Sutra, where one year difference on Marriage is ‘Ardh Navamsha’ is working. The research is still going on…………………
Method – 3
There is one another method for correlation which is accurate in near about 90% cases, it is based on Solar system.

To use this chart we have to first find the birth and date. Many marriages take place between 18th of age to 32nd years. So the chart has been prepared for 18th to 32nd year. The above chat is for age between 21st to 30th .
- Take the example of Rajiv Gandhi his Date of Birth was 20 August 1944. 23rd July to 22 August give marriage before 25th year is 19, 23 and after 25th of year 28, 29. His marriage took place in 23 of his year.
- Sonia Gandhi
Date of Birth – 3 December 1946
DOB comes under 22 November to 21 December and the marriage date before
25th year are 21, 23 and after 25th year are 27 , 30 .
His Marriage took place in his 23rd of year
- B. Sukla
DOB – 24 May 1952
His DOB is 24 may 1952 which comes under 22 May to 21 June before 25th we get 2 & 24 after 25th we get 27 & 31 the marriage took place in his at the age of 21st.
- Menaka Ghandhi
DOB – 26 August 1956
His DOB comes under 23 August to 22 September
Before 25th we get 18, 20 24 after 25th year we get 27, 30.
His Marriage took place 18th of his year.
- Pawan Chandra
DOB – 24 June
His DOB is comes under 22 June to 22 July before 25th we get 18 & 22 year & after 25th we get 25, 28 & 32 year his marriage took place in his 22nd of year.
