Astrological Predictions May 2012
A controlling force in humankind is the need to feel a connection with others. When in love, you radiate with happiness as you feel energetically connected, whole and complete. The process of g iving and receiving love unites us as we become one with another. But when this connection ends, pain and suffering of loss is experienced. Our decisions are based on our feelings, and the sense of familiarity is a compelling force. When someone has the same feelings, interest or reminds you of a loved one, this feels familiar. Relationships give a sense of connection, completion and wholeness. When you feel loved you instantly feel complete. We all seek to feel united and loved which is the driving force behind relationships. We are searching for that familiar feeling throughout life. This is the feeling of falling in love which is experienced initially as unconditional love.
Then conditions and expectations begin, and the relationship changes. In essence, our search for love is to find our true connection which is oneness with the Divine. Our natural true self is familiar with the sense of unity and harmony as we were in this state before becoming separate individual bodies here on earth.
The Sun and Moon are symbolic of the duality of life on earth, male and female, but the purpose of our life in this duality is to merge these two energies. This essentially equates to giving and receiving love. The Sun sends out its powerful rays of light and the Moon receives this energy and reflects the light. The creation of mankind comes from male energy sending its seed of life to be received by the receptive female energy that births life. Giving and receiving are an essential process that maintains growth, but when this reciprocation is broken, life ceases to exist, and isolation without love kills the human spirit, and creates death and disease. Love is the most powerful force in the Universe. There has never been a better time for this awareness to be set forth and change your life and the predicament of the world.
The May solar eclipse in Taurus activates the desire for love because the Sun and Moon are combined with Jupiter and Venus. Venus is the creative power of love and attraction in relationships, and represents the wife in a male’s chart. Jupiter is the creative principal and represents the husband in a females chart. Venus becomes empowered during this time for it is in the sign of rulership in Taurus. The Moon in Taurus is exalted making the Moon more powerful. Both Venus and the Moon are intensified which empower a remarkable time for feminine influence and receiving love. Furthermore, this eclipse involving Ketu will magnify and intensify the need for love on this planet. Relationships become a core issue. Ketu gives a sense of emptiness with a burning desire to fill that empty void. Unconscious individuals will be masking this need with other desires that substitute the real need for unconditional love.
Venus is transiting retrograde with Ketu indicating an enormous vacuum in this area of the zodiac (Taurus). Retrograde planets become the focus because they are operating in a different mode than normal causing dysfunction and attention to the areas they are transiting. This will bring to the attention and awareness of the world in matters ruled by Venus. Venus rules relationships, love, contracts, agreements, value, banks, money and peace. In the sign Taurus there will be huge losses with the banks. On a personal note, marriages and relationships will be under pressure. Divorce and separation will be on the rise. People are feeling disconnected and this feeds their fears. When coming from a place of fear and isolation, it is hard to express and receive love. Venus with Ketu promotes the yearning to be connected through love and can bring in relationships from the past or remind you of past connections.
Miracles are possible now because in the void of loss and grief we gain our most profound spiritual insights. To realize the power of the human emotion through love will activate the miraculous in our lives.

May Astrological Predictions
A solar eclipse in Taurus occurs on May 20th with Mars and Neptune square. The world will wake up to the reality of the grave economic conditions that have been denied. The facts are beginning to settle and global fear suppresses spending causing more decline in the economy and stock market. Corruption in high powered businesses around spending and banking reflect the greed, lack of fairness and morality. This reality check is necessary to bring awareness and change for a better functioning world.
Jupiter and Saturn will slide back into a quincunx aspect (150 degrees). This will begin more dysfunction in the world’s economy. The balancing act has caused a huge imbalance and the economy will not be able to catch up. Changes to balance the economy will be very costly. Money invested to create a cure for financial gains will not be recouped and many false beginnings will end in failure.
Saturn will revert back into Virgo May 15th where it will remain until August 5th. Saturn in Virgo puts pressure on the government and spending. Many government run organizations will falter. Those with Virgo ascendant or planets will revisit unfinished business, particularity around relationships. Saturn brings to light the realization of truth.
Venus will turn retrograde 29 degrees Taurus May 15th. Venus will stay in Taurus for 4 months – March through July. Venus retrograde in Taurus will reorganize the economy with restructuring in the banks. Priorities in what we value will surface giving life more purpose and meaning. How we view our relationships will be a precedent creating a healing of human values.
Those who have Taurus ascendant or planets will be most affected during this time. Be more cognizant of your health and diet.
Jupiter will transit into Taurus on May 16th, aligning with Ketu. This will begin the downfall of the end that will change life as we know it. Jupiter represents prosperity and wealth but, as it will conjoin Ketu, there will be big losses. Taurus rules banks, loans and government money, which will be faltering. The good news is that the destruction of our economy will give rise to progressive spiritual thought and awareness, generating a search for spiritual purpose.
May 25th Jupiter will conjunct the most violent fixed star, Algol. Explosive events affect the destiny of many countries, especially America, with one major event after another leading up to December 2012. Yes, this is the time of the end of the Mayan calendar, and many astrological indications are happening but significantly, Ketu will be 1 degree Taurus conjunct this treacherous fixed star Algol, indicating a major disruption. Interestingly, this will be right after the United States 2012 presidential elections.
The summer months, especially July, will be a turning point and the most volatile.
Food for Thought: I know it is impossible to decipher the writings of Nostradamus, but it is fun to imagine the possibilities. He cites that the year of great destruction will have 3 eclipses. That means nothing since this is a common occurrence every year with the Sun and Moon, but if you include Jupiter and Venus with the solar eclipse then maybe this could be the 3 eclipses –Sun/Moon, Venus and Jupiter with Ketu – because when planets align with the nodes of the Moon (Rahu/Ketu), they become eclipsed.
