Planting 1008 Bilva Trees on Shravan Shivaratri
Importance of Bilva Tree:
The Bilva tree is revered for its sacredness and association with Lord Shiva. Here are some key aspects of its importance:
- Divine Connection: The Bilva leaves are believed to be Lord Shiva’s favorite. Offering these leaves during worship pleases the deity and is considered highly auspicious.
- Spiritual Benefits: The Bilva tree is mentioned in several ancient scriptures, including the Shiva Purana and Skanda Purana, as a sacred tree that grants spiritual benefits and fulfills desires.
- Purity and Cleansing: The leaves of the Bilva tree are known for their ability to purify the environment and cleanse negative energies.
- Astrological Significance: Planting and nurturing a Bilva tree is considered an effective astrological remedy, especially during the holy month of Shravan Maas, bringing peace and prosperity.
Significance with Lord Shiva and Shravan Shivaratri:
Shravan Shivaratri is the most significant festival dedicated to Lord Shiva. On this day, devotees engage in various rituals and worship to seek the blessings of the divine. Planting Bilva trees on Shravan Shivaratri is a way to honor Lord Shiva and contribute to the environment, creating a lasting spiritual impact.
Invitation to Participate:
We invite you to participate in this sacred campaign by donating a Bilva tree to be planted on your behalf. We will plant these Bilva trees in major Shiva temples and Tirtha Sthals (holy places), ensuring that your contribution becomes a part of a divine legacy.
How to Participate:
- Donate a Plant: After making your donation, send us your Rashi, Nakshatra, Gotra, and Name.
- Tree Maintenance: We will take care of these plants for the next 108 days, after which the respective temple or Tirtha Sthal management will continue to nurture them.
- Astrological Benefits: Planting a Bilva tree serves as an effective astrological remedy, especially beneficial during Shravan Maas.
We will soon share a detailed list of all the temples and Tirtha Sthals where these Bilva trees will be planted.
A name plate will be put up for those who donate 10 or more Bilwa trees.
Join us in this divine mission and contribute to a greener, more spiritually enriched world.
