Jaimini Precepts For Assassination by Iranganti Rangacharya

Jaimini Maharshi enunciates a few aphorisms on Dushta Marana or unnatural death which means a sudden violent end of life brought about by homicide, suicide, fire, explosion, drowning etc. Based on Jaimini commentaries, I give below some planetary precepts which indicate the event of Dushta Marana due to assassination. It may be noted that it would be hasty to arrive at predicting this event of unnatural death sporadically on the basis of any single precept of the following.

1. Malefics in the 3^rd from Lagna or Atmakaraka
2. Sun in the 3^rd from Lagna or Atmakaraka
3. Mars in the 3^rd from Lagna or Atmakaraka
4. The 8^th or the 3^rd from Yogada is occupied or aspected by Mars and Rahu.
5. The 5^th and the 9^th of Yogada are occupied by equal number of
7. The 12^th of Yogada is occupied by malefics.
8. The 8^th of Karakamsa is occupied or aspected by malefics.
9. Both Janma Lagna and Arudha Lagna being one and the same sign, is hemmed in between malefics in the 2^nd and the 12^th.

The following are the cases of Dushta Marana due to assassination:-

In Chart 1 of Mahatma Gandhi the following factors may be noted.

1. In the Rasi chart, Janma Lagna is aspected by the Moon and Jupiter . In Drekkana Chart also Drekkana Lagna is aspected by the Moon and Jupiter. Hence the Moon and Jupiter become Yogada The 8^th house from Yogada Jupiter is aspected by the Sun.
2. The 3^rd house from Yogada Jupiter is occupied by Rahu.
3. The 8^th house from Yogada Moon is aspected by the Sun.
4. Libra being both Janma Lagna and Arudha Lagna is hemmed between the two malefics, Saturn and Sun.
5. Atmakaraka is Mars and Karakamsa is Gemini. The 8^th house of Karakamsa is occupied by debilitated Jupiter. In Drekkana chart, the 8^th of Yogada Jupiter is occupied by the malefics Saturn and Rahu.

Chart 1  : Birth Ascendant – Libra 13▫ , Mercury 13▫ 9’ ; Mars 27▫ 39’ ; Venus 25 ▫ 53; Scorpio – Saturn 19▫ 37’ ;Capricorn – Ketu 13▫ 36’ ;Taurus – Jupiter 0▫ 25’; Cancer-Rahu 13▫ 36’ ; Leo –Moon 0▫ 101 and Virgo – Sun 18 ▫22’ .

Chart 2 belongs to Abraham Lincoln who was shot dead in a public theatre.

1. Yogada planet is absent in the chart. But Saturn the lord of the sign occupied by the Moon is aspecting the Moon . Hence Saturn becomes Kevala planet. The 12th of Kevala is occupied by malefics, Mars and Rahu.
2. The 3rd house of Janma Lagna is occupied by Ketu aspected by Saturn, Sun and Mercury.
3. Venus is Atmakaraka. The 8th house of Atmakaraka is occupied by Mars and Rahu.

Chart 2  :Birth Ascendant – Aquarius 16▫ 39’ ;Sun 4▫ 6’; Mercury 12▫ 44’;Pieces – Jupiter 2▫ 16’ ; Venus 17▫ 16’ ;Aries-Ketu 17▫ 44’ ;Libra –Mars 5▫ 16’;Rahu 17▫ 44’;Scorpio – Saturn 13▫ 16 ‘ and Capricorn – Moon 5▫ 29’.

Chart 3 belongs to Mrs.Indira Gandhi who was assassinated by her own security guard. The Navamsa chart is erected on Jaimini principles. The Drekkana chart erected according to Somanath’s Parivritti Traya method of Jaimini. Janma, Navamsa  and Drekkana Lagnas in their corresponding charts are aspected by Mercury. Hence Mercury becomes Yogada. The 8^th house of Yogada Mercury is occupied by malefic Ketu.

Chart 3 : Birth Ascendant 0 Cancer – Saturn 21▫ 47’;Leo-Mars 16▫ 23’;Scorpio – Sun 4▫ 8’ ;Mercury Sagittarius Venus 20▫ 3’;Rahu 10 ▫33’ ;Capricorn – Moon 5▫ 37’ Taurus-Jupiter 15▫ 1’ and Gemini Ketu 10▫ 33’

1. The 8^th house of Yogada in Navamsa is aspected by Saturn , Rahu and Ketu.
2. Atmakaraka is Saturn. The 3^rd house from both Janma Lagna and Atmakaraka Saturn is aspected by Ketu and Rahu.
3. Karakamsa is occupied by Capricorn, Leo, the 8^th house of Karakamsa.
4. Cancer being both Janma Lagna and Arudha Lagna is occupied by the malefic Saturn and is hemmed in between two malefics Mars and

Chart 4 belongs to a medical doctor who was shot dead in his own consulting room.

1. The 3^rd house of Janma Lagna is occupied by Saturn .
2. Yogada and Kevala are absent. But the Sun is Drashta , the lord of the sign occupied by the Moon. The 3^rd house of Drahsta in Rasi chart is occupied by Mars aspected by Saturn. In the Navamsa chart the 3^rd house of Drashta is occupied by Mars.
3. Atmakaraka is the Sun. The 8^th house of Karakamsa is occupied by the malefics Saturn, Mercury and Ketu and aspected by Mars.
