With Obeisance to my Guru Late Shri C S Patel, who was based in Mumbai and to my Mentor, who is based in New Delhi, I submit this at their holy feet and request them to accept it and bless it. It has been nearly 3 years since we wrote a proper article or an editorial and this is a mix of it containing technique and personal views which if taken in the right light can shape up the mind of youngsters to make them more honest in their approach.

Birth time rectification is one of the toughest processes in astrology, one of the biggest money making spinners for especially the Gurus of today, yet if one notices their methods you feel that past Gurus and the modern ones have not given us anything substantative to work upon and every young one in astrology wastes a lot of time in it. Then there are calculation based birth time rectifications which have not stood the test of time and at the same it’s theoretical and does not demonstrate events. The best methods of birth time rectification  is to know the birth time via ones thumb yet only 4 people in India are known to know about it, one of the best in them was the Late Narendra Desai, a great legend in USA but unknown in India. The next best method till date is event based methods but apart from K N Rao no one else seemed to stressed upon it, Shri Rao has hinted on it strongly. Event based method systems are tricky if dasha is used to verify it as it is open to too much diverse interpretation

If we are honest to ourselves and admit our lack of perfect knowledge only then can we strive to get the truth out of any chart, since the chart finally speaks back to the one with the honest heart and tells you how the planets will give the result in that chart. The biggest mistake most astro students do is to land up learning astrology for 2 – 5 years and then declaring to themselves that their own birth time is not correct and then we have seen many spending 25 years plus several thousands of dollars going from Jyotish Guru to another trying to find out which is their correct birth time. In the last one decade we have seen so many do this mistake, that much amount of money could have been spent in donations and earning better karma, rather than going to 100s of astrologers. The point is which no astrologer will admit honestly that even with 20 – 30 years of experience in astrology we are unable to rightly predict dasa or gochar or know about all the yogas in the birth chart, then how can we decide if a birth chart is correct or not, then we land up rectifying the birth chart or the ayanamsa.

Interactions with some KP astrologers who claimed their new theories of birth time rectification was perfect to the second was not so satisfactory. Upon being asked if they have any chart where the birth of child was recorded by themselves or their known friends, right upto the second, they said none. Upon asking several big and famous Jyotish institutions if they have a list of birth charts where they can certify that the birth time is right upto the second or even minute, none could help this scribe in providing such a list. When the basis of our jyotish is accurate birth time and no institution or astrologer has helped our jyotish community by providing atleast 100 birth charts where their members had recorded birth times absolutely accurately then how can anyone of us test such birth time rectification techniques which are sensitive to seconds or minute of change? One such KP astrologer was given by us a birth time where the first cry was recorded to the exact second by two watches (in sync with atomic clock) and also when the navel cord was cut, his theory failed as per him and he was honest in admitting it, praises to him for being honest, though not sure if he ever admitted it openly in any public forum.

Over a period of 10 years this scribe has rigorously worked on birth time rectification using the Shastiamsa (D60) methods and a part of it was revealed for the first time to the jyotish community via our series of articles called “Secrets of Shastiamsa” published in 2010 or 2011 in this magazine. Like the Shastiamsa method where BCP (bhrighu chakra paddathi) and BSP (bhrighu saral paddathi) methods were combined, we have developed 4 more independent methods, one of which we have taught in our nadi classes conducted in mumbai by which upon seeing a chart within 3 seconds a good astrology can predict an event and the year in which a specifics’ event has occurred, if the chart holder confirms it then the birth time is accurate to the minute. In the nadi classes and also in the SA Mumbai club on blind charts we have predicted and it is being tested more and more, when the time comes an article to that effect would be published.

The olden astrologers term to fix the Navamsa lagna based on characteristics of the body appearance face etc but that though accepted widely in India, is open to interpretation and does not match the test of time, the same way fixing the Asc of the natal chart, for example Rajiv Gandhi was earlier given Cancer Asc by senior most astrologers based on his Soumya (calm) appearance but in truth it was discovered he was Leo Asc yet he did not show the dominance of a Leo though having so many planets in his Asc.  Unfortunately till date the olden astrologers have not admitted to this failure.

Birth Time Rectification

What if we can pin point one planet say Moon in the Navamsa chart and fix it to a particular house and be sure that it can only be in that house and not in any other house, can we then not be sure of the Navamsa Lagna ?

This article focuses on finding the Moon Navamsa position, then observing its sign, its house, its dispositor and aspects and seeing if an event concerning all the above happened in a specific year as per the table listed below. This technique is from a tiny shloka from Chandra Kala Nadi Part 3, the exact shloka of it is not being quoted for various reasons kindly pardon us. Also a shloka is of no use to the modern reader who is more interested in reading digested material rather than reading the classics of our Rishis, who is more interested in predicting events from the chart rather than understanding the karmic reason and exact story behind each and every event and thereby realising our mistakes and thereon improving our karma. Jyotish is called Light, lighting the lamp for the soul to transport it through the darkness of our bad karmas so says the Last Book of Astrology but we have in the last 2000 years made it a strip dancers art (dance of predictions) where the client throws money on the dancers tamasha (act) and we do not bother about improving the karma of our clients and making them better human beings but want to only impress them about our great predictive skills. Nor do we bother that our great spiritual science is being  used to help whom a honest poor man or a corrupt politician/businessman, it does not bother to our conscience inspite of daily reciting for hours so many mantras and doing so many great sadhanas.

Coming back to the method, it has been combined with the progression methods of the other nadi systems like Bhrighu Chakra Paddathi.

Sign & Event Year

Moon Navamsa Rasi if in Aries is 28^th year, Moon Navamsa Rasi Taurus is 29th year, Gemini is 30 and so on till Pisces you get 39^th year.

Thus you complete one cycle. Use only this one cycle to check the birth time rectification though at the end we would give one more example that goes beyond the cycle but if you want to master this technique then use only this one cycle as it corresponds to the decoding of the shloka from Chandra Kala Nadi Part 3.

What happens if someone is not remembering the events between 28^th year to 39^th year, what happens if one gets a chart where the age of the native is only say 24 then how we use this system will be shown in another table after the set of 7 odd examples. This whole article is Part 1 & 2 and Part 3 of the methodology which is an independent system of prediction to be used irrespective of the Moon will be revealed soon.

Defining Nadi Age

Indians do not make a mistake in this but westerners do make a mistake due to the different counting systems prevalent in their country.

From 0 month of birth till 12^th month of birth – the nadi age is 1^st year, that means you are in your first year (for westerners you would say that the child has not completed first birthday and the age is zero) but we say he is in his 1^st year or running his first year.

How to Use The Table

So if your Moon Navamsa is in Aries in the 5H of Navamsa chart then events related to 5H of love/education and the yogas in that house/planet associated or the aspects it receives, the lordships of the respective planets will work and give an event.

Chart 1: Mukesh

Now see Moon is in Aries Navamsa in the 7H of secondary house of profession, it is 10L of career also and is conjoint with Jupiter the 6L of job. Jupiter signifies banking (authority ref Phaladeepika initial chapter by Gopesh Kumar Ojha). In the 28th year he got job in SBI bank, the biggest bank of India on 5th Jan 2009 when he was running the 28th year which would be from March 2008 to March 2009.

Chart 2: PD ref Devas

Moon is in Gemini in 8H so 30th year which would be from Feb 2006 to Feb 2007

So the possibilities are if sex happened in that year or some depression (rahus 9th aspect) or relationship and depression

The message gotten back was the girl went into major depression since she had gotten a marriage proposal of an Indian Canadian dentist and things were set. Then the boys girlfriend once picked up the phone the boys phone and said to her to leave the boy and break the engagement. The engagement broke, and she went into major depression. For a girl rejection or cheating (here the boy did not tell the truth that he had an girl friend whom he wanted to marry) finished her.

One can see on hindsight that Moon is in Gemini with A5 (arudha of 5H signifying mind) in 8H of depressions aspected by Rahu and 7L Saturn and 5L Jupiter, so marriage, mind effected and Moons lord Mercury has gone in the 6H of separation along with Ketu (giving break in relationships)

Chart 3: R Dev

Moon is in Pisces with Venus the 6L and 11L of spouse

It is also with Moon the 8L aspected by Rahu from 12H of separation and Rahu is co lord of Aquarius of 3H in D9

Pisces denotes 39th year as per the table listed at the start of this article which in her case would be from Jan 2013 to Jan 2014

She was asked if she bought a house or anything to do with the house or some loan for house. She said she bought a house in a very costly place (Venus) having lot of beautiful amenities and it was on loan along with her husband (11L of spouse)

She was asked if there were troubles to her mother (Moon is 8L in 4H of mother) or some chronic problems to her mother, she replied yes her mother was detected with osteoporosis and spondolytis and rheumatism

She was asked if some fights with her siblings especially brothers happened in that year, as dispositor of Mars is Rahu/Saturn and retro Saturn aspects in turn back the Mars ( Late J N Bhasin method published in 1978 or 1979 Sept issue of B V Ramans magazine as per memory) and Rahu aspects this Moon, she said yes a major fight erupted between her brothers and as a result since that date till now (1.5 years) she has not spoken to her elder brother (note 3H is not just younger siblings but all siblings and at the same time 11L of elder brother Venus is with the moon) and it was regarding her elder brother not giving back her father’s share in the property and cheating the father . Note Venus is dispositor of a debilitated Sun (would be cheated) and this Venus is in the 4H of property whose cost is nearing 1 crore (quarter of a million dollar) today.

She was asked if something to do with her sons education happened this year, and it started and closed or some major change. This was said since Moons dispositor is Jupiter and it goes in the 5H of child and is with Saturn the 2L of early education. She said yes her son was enrolled for the first time in a proper school and at the same time, the earlier school they had applied in had rejected them then they took him to another school and after 1 month they called back saying seat is available, so she removed from that school and took him to the one which had earlier rejected them.

Chart 4: N Bs Daughter

Moon is in Virgo Navamsa so 33rd is imp, Moon is in 3H note this, now Moon in Vi Nav that would be from Oct 2012 to Oct 2013

So she was asked if her daughter did some short travels and mother replied yes out of the city short travels, Moon lord goes in 9H of bhagya  with 7L of Public recognition (Saturn) & name and is aspected by 10L of career Mars by its 8th aspect She said she got an award for her work and bhagyodaya (prosperity) opened up.

Chart 5: Ref 4 San Jha

Moon is in 4H in D8 in Gemini Rasi which is 30th year as per our table In 30th year female child was born Moon is 5L of children in 4H of home so in house a child was born and as to the reason why female child then see that moon is the  dispositor of Venus with 2L Mars and 11L of child (BPHS Chapter 11 Shloka 11 says 11H also denotes spouse/child)

Chart 6: Na B

Note Moon is in 2H of wealth/acquisitions in 2H of finances conjoint Jupiter who is the dispositor of the 4L of home and property. Lord of Moon goes in the 10H and is Mars, it aspects its own house (karak wise) that is the 4H of property. This same Mars also aspects the 4^th lord Mer by the 4^th aspect. So there are prospects of gain of property and this lady bought a house, since Mars is lord of 2L, there was also some gain in finances.

Chart 7: Ref 1 San Jha

Moon in Nav is in Gemini in 11H so the year is 30^th year as per the table

In the 30th year native got married.

11h is the house of spouse/child as per BPHS chapter 11 Shloka 11 and its lord Mer is in the 1H (of the 1/7 axis of marriage) in the Rahu Ketu axis thereby giving possibility of marriage, the native was asked if the native felt it was a very karmic marriage and he replied in the affirmative.

Part 2

Query 1: What happens if someone is not remembering the events between 28^th year to 39^th year, what happens if one gets a chart where the age of the native is only say 24 then how we use this system will be shown in just one example, much below.

Query 2: What happens if someone is 60 years old and he or she does not remember events from 28^th year to 39^th year but more like to remember 58^th year event, how does the table progress ? Answer is it will be shown below with an advanced table

Chart 1:  N Bs Son

Now see Moon is in Aq, as per our original table it denotes 38^th year but the native is not yet crossed 38^th years, so take the just above table, there it shows for Aq age 26 also.

Moon is in Aq in 9H of bhagya, so 26th year something to do with Bhagya can happen Moon in 9H of Bhagyodaya but with Rahu and aspected by Saturn from 7H, 3rd aspect (travel/death etc) 26th year would be Nov 2011 to Nov 2012.

He set up his workshop (for designer  cars) , long-time girlfriend shifted to Canada, break in relationships (7H Saturn) and he went into depression (Moon rahu together) and his mother took loan (Moon is in 6th house from 4H of mother) to set up his workshop business.

Chart 2: SM

Now Moon is in Virgo and as per the expanded table you get 21^st and 33^rd year. Obviously same event cannot repeat twice but broad theme might repeat depending on yoga active then, dasa active and transits which would differ in the 12 year period.

21^st year of native – May 1993 to May 1994

Moon is placed in Virgo in the 7H of relationships, the lord of Virgo is Mer who is placed in 6H of separation conjoint 12L of separation Saturn and Rahu. The native had a relationship but got separated out of it, the depression of it set his studies back and he barely passed although earlier he was the topper in his engineering college.

33^rd year of native – May 2005 to May 2006

Moon is obviously placed in Virgo in the 7H of relationships, same explanations as above and the native had a relationship with a foreigner (rahu) which broke and he left his job (6H) where he was working abroad (12H Saturn and rahu).
